Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 June 2026
These terms govern your use of ConexusMail (the "Service"), operated by Bensen LLC ("Bensen LLC", "we", "us"). By creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. The Service
ConexusMail imports email threads from a mailbox you connect over IMAP and renders them as an instant-message-style conversation. You can also send replies from ConexusMail over SMTP. Specific features available to you depend on the plan you have subscribed to.
2. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address and a password of at least 8 characters. You are responsible for keeping your password and mailbox app-passwords confidential, and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately at security@conexusmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to: (a) send spam or unsolicited bulk email, (b) infringe anyone's intellectual-property rights, (c) violate any law or third-party agreement (including your email provider's terms), (d) attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or probe the Service's infrastructure outside a coordinated security disclosure, or (e) connect a mailbox you are not authorized to access.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, by Stripe. The Pro plan includes a 14-day free trial; you will not be charged until the trial ends. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal — cancellation stops future renewals; we do not pro-rate the current period on monthly plans. Refunds for annual plans are governed by our Refund Policy.
5. Your content
You retain all rights to the email content imported into ConexusMail. We do not claim any ownership of it. By using the Service, you grant us the limited right to store, transmit, and render that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will never train machine-learning models on your email content or share it with advertisers.
6. Email delivery, accuracy, and your reliance
ConexusMail relies on third-party mail systems we do not control (your provider's IMAP/SMTP servers and any intermediate relays) and transforms messages for display — for example, stripping quoted history and signatures, collapsing formatting, and grouping messages into a chat view. You acknowledge and agree that:
- Outbound email. We do not guarantee that any reply or message you send through the Service will be delivered, delivered on time, delivered only to the intended recipient(s), or transmitted without error, alteration, duplication, or loss of attachments or formatting.
- Inbound email. We do not guarantee that every message will be imported, imported completely, attributed to the correct sender, threaded correctly, or displayed in full or in the right order. The conversation view may omit, truncate, alter, mis-attribute, or fail to show content — including quoted text, signatures, attachments, or entire messages — and is not a complete or authoritative record of your mailbox.
- Authoritative record. Your mail provider's own mailbox, not ConexusMail, is the system of record. You are solely responsible for independently verifying the content, recipients, delivery, and receipt of any message that matters — directly with your mail provider — before relying on it.
- Reliance and business use. You assume all risk of using the Service for any business, financial, legal, transactional, or other consequential purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bensen LLC is not responsible or liable for any decision made, action taken or not taken, deadline missed, transaction entered into or lost, miscommunication, or business, financial, reputational, data, or other harm arising in any way from an email that was sent, not sent, sent to the wrong recipient, sent with incorrect or altered content, received, not received, delayed, duplicated, or displayed incorrectly through the Service.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are reported for abuse, or are past due on payment. On termination we delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Warranty disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; that any email will be sent, delivered, received, imported, or displayed accurately, completely, or on time; or that the conversation view is a faithful or complete reproduction of your mail. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Bensen LLC for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or USD $100. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, opportunity, or data, or for any business interruption — including any such damages arising from an email that was sent, not sent, mis-addressed, altered, received, not received, delayed, or displayed incorrectly — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bensen LLC and its officers, members, and agents from any claim, loss, or liability (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, the messages you send or receive through it, your reliance on what it displays, or your violation of these terms or any third party's rights.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to the address on your account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
